Market Movers Page - R(I)P

Noticed about 3 weeks ago that this page on the rp website, which I found very useful over the last 10yrs or so, had been replaced by a notification stating

"We regret that Market Movers has been removed from Racingpost.com. This feature was contributing to website stability issues. We apologise for the inconvenience".

Now, I'm not a techie, but given the advancements with the site over the last decade ( apps, downloads, graphics, mobile features, reporting etc etc etc), I was quite concerned to see that the stability of such a powerful website, full of reams of data, was under such a mortal threat, simply by them providing one page of content displaying names of horses and price movements. This had been keeping me awake at night. What next, the loss of the print edition?

To my relief, I notice the stabilisation issues seem to have been rectified over the last week and you can now see the market movers page, if you pay for it.

I would have preferred if they just came out up front & stated "Market Movers content is now a premium service". That I can understand.

Looks like its not just the stability of the website that is under threat.

    Sorry, rant over

The bookies probably asked them to remove it.

There's a market movers on ATR website as well.

RP site is becoming a joke lately, You have to pay for nearly everything. In saying that I find the site invaluable and will probably fork out for it after my holidays.

The Racing Post website is a load of shyte since they introduced their "Members Club". They don't even have proper news stories anymore. I've stopped using it. I use the Sporting Life website now.

Sporting Life has been very tempermental for me of late.

RP freezes nearly every time I first open it, it's a disaster
