Income Tax Return - Help!

    Hey lads,

Hope ye are all well! I started a new business last year early November. I'm now in the process of doing my Income tax return for the year 2011. Now the profit I made was tiny. In and around the €1500 mark. Just wondering would I have to pay a tax on this? Will I put down a token sum on the payslip or simply put down zero? Jesus saying that makes me feel like crap. Also regarding Preliminary Tax 2012 would I pay a sum towards this with such low profits? I'm working my behind off literally 12 hour days but getting nowhere...filling on this tax form has really got me down to be honest :/

I'm meeting my ex's brother who is an accountant so he will help me out but just thought I'd ask you guys here. Sorry for the basic question but I really have little knowledge in this area but I made myself promise to take business course in Dec.

    Thanks very much.
