    Hi

    Long story

Sister came back to her car in car park to find a scumbag emptying a powder fire extinguisher into her petrol tank.

There is a powder residue in the inlet pipe

She drove it for a few minutes and it started chugging

She turned it off for a few minutes and tried it again and it seemed ok

She then drove it 10 miles home and it seemed fine

    Then she contacted me

The petrol tank was 3 quarters full

    Car is skoda fabia

    Any advice
    please

I'd be of the opinion she might need to get the tank drained and cleaned depending on how far in the powder went?

Posters with more knowledge than me might have other solutions?

    Can't believe she drove it.

    I'd get it drained.

She should have contacted the Gardai and not have started the car. Why would someone do that? Did she know the person or does someone have something against her? I'd be contacting the Gardai. As for damage done, who knows?

the car park is frequented by junkies.

i think she just wanted to get out of there

as i said she rang me after driving the car.

i know its a strange one

what the hell was he doing with a extinguisher at the car

if it was my sisters car my advice would be to get the tank drained,a new fuel filter fitted aswell, between the draining and the filter and i'd be hoping it'll have caught all the extinguisher.

Maybe he thought it was nitros oxide and he was pimping her ride ?

maybe he should have inserted it up his arse and pimped his own ride

    Helpful as always:rolleyes:

I'd get the tank drained. As she drove it I'd be sure to let a garage check it out. God knows what it's dragged into the internals at this stage.

Why are people posting like this is the AH forum? :s

Anyways, that really sucks for your Sister OP, getting the tank emptied and fuel filter changed seems to be the way to go. I guess for future she should lock her fuel filler cap as well. Think I'll be more wary of that myself with the Hollowe'en people about for the next month...
