first time posting in this section.

Cousin had a plumber to look at her gas boiler and he informed her that she would need a new one, didn't get the details on the fault, but was informed a new gas boiler is the most of €3k

she has a 4 bed semi detached house,

are new gas boilers really that much?

have a decent rgi look at it,identify fault and take it from there,if it turns out that a new boiler is in fact needed, then make sure system is flushed with chemicals pre install and inhibitor added upon refill, and that boiler commissioning is completed too, hard to say price without seeing it but you should be looking at anywhere between 1800 and 2300

depends on boiler size and whether extra piping need to sepperate hot water with controls so it could be up their around 2500 usuallywith controls but every job is different
