    Hi there!
I was just wondering about how some people are awarded medals for doing really well in a particular subject in the leaving cert. Is it just people who get 100% that are awarded a medal, or is it those who get over a certain percentage?

    Thanks for the help! :)

One of my friends won the Chemistry medal a few years ago. Another of my friends got 100% in maths but didn't get a medal...

What subject were you looking for?

Here it is here. I did biology for the LC myself, and although I got an A1, its very tough to get over 95%. Very best of luck!

I can't see why they would have to wait that long. When correctors finish correcting in July they pass the numbers of the 100% candidates to the Chief Examiner, so they could be released shortly after the results.
