Should I remove dual control before I sell Corsa?

    Hi everyone.
    I bought a dual control 07 Corsa last year planning to become a driving instructor part time.
    I ended up not doing it but now want to sell the Corsa.
    I am thinking it would be a perfect car to sell to an instructor.
    I now plan to put it up for sale and am wondering should I remove the dual control first. (I don't know how a big a job it is to remove it)
    Would it sell quicker without it or do you think an instructor would jump on it?
    Also where's best to sell a car these days?

    If you think it would be the perfect car for an instructor, why do you want to remove the dual control???

    You should at least put it up on DoneDeal and Carzone.

    I would leave it as is, let it up on those sites for a while and see what interest you get. If it doesn't sell within a certain time frame then start thinking about removing it.

    Also mention in the ad that it's possible to remove the DC, this will obviously widen your market.

    Maybe to sell it quicker as a regular car without dual control rather than limiting it to being an instructor car, as per my original post???

    I might try that. That's what I was thinking. Just wanted to see what the general consensus was before putting it up for sale.

    About 700 incl the dual control unit.
    I have a cert to confirming it's fitted properly.
    I bought the car from an ISM instructor who was moving back home to Australia.
    I planned on becoming an instructor but landed a different job.
    My wife's Vectra is sitting unused so I want to get rid of the Corsa and get the Vectra back on the road.
    Lack of Acceleration for overtaking etc is getting to me and it's not convenient or safe enough for my 4 year old daughter IMO so it's me who ends up driving it all the time while she gets my car :-(

    Tough call, you have a wider audience without the controls fitted but with them in you could scare off regular punters.

    On the other hand you may have someone out there looking for such a thing. If it were me I'd take them out

    That's my thinking. A regular Joe would, of course, avoid a car with dual control but to the right person it's ideal.
    I think I might follow MetzgerMeister advice and put it up with dual control for a couple of weeks and if nobody bites, whip it out and relist. Problem is anyone looking for a Corsa will have seen the original ad.

    Training is a 3 stage process. I did the first 2, bought the Corsa then landed a teaching job in a private college 2 weeks later. The course with ISM is €800 per module.
    I held onto it in case I might need suplemental income in the near future, such as during the June to September college break but ended up busy for the summer.
    I was looking through the Northside People the other day and saw instructors advertising €25 lessons and thought f*ck that. An hour lesson plus travel to and from the customer is probably 2 hours minus petrol minus insurance (€700PA) minus franchise fees (which you would need starting out until you build a customer base) of €150/week. waste of time.
    I see you are in the West. It may be different in your locality. If you are thinking of becoming an instructor make sure you fully research what business and rates are like in your area.

    Edit: I really enjoyed the training and it has made me a better driver so it wasn't a complete waste of money.
    Module 2 is based closely on the UK police driving course and was fantastic. I learned an awful lot about safe but progressive driving.
    Angles to approach bends/corners and judging whether they are "open or closed" on approach, building awareness of potential hazards and correct course of action etc.
    My instructor was top class. I would never actually drive the way you do for this course/exam but it is a real test of driving ability where the speed limit is the target speed where conditions allow and overtaking must be completed quickly and conifdently.
