Not a huge amount of intersting fights but still thought worth a thread nonetheless. Anybody else watching this? I fancy Bigfoot to beat Browne. Interesting that Hallman was dropped for missing weight again. A good fighter and if he could get himself together, I think he could have been a top contender.

Am going to be watching it too. Shame that Hallman and now Stephens/Edward's fights are off, was looking forward to both of them.

Unless Browne makes a mistake and gets taken down, I think he will TKO Silva. Hallman is like 35 and quite a one dimensional fighter, so not sure I agree with the potential top contender point.

Agree about the age thing for Hallman what I meant was that he could have been a top contender. Think it's a bit late now myself. I think Silva is gonna win this but perhaps it's more because he's the underdog that I want him to get this win!

Dana just confirmed he is fighting, curious how this all worked out since he was in jail earlier today...

Really looking forward to watching Neer and the co-main

Other than the headliner there's not much there that interests me, I might just watch the Bellator heavyweights instead..

Not a huge fan of Bellator heavyweights. Cole Konrad was the only one who seemed to be any good and now he's decided to retire!

Jeremy Stephens is in jail and they're trying to get him out in time to fight :pac:

Sounds like a plot from an '80s movie or an Adam Sandler movie.

Just watching the main event now,
its hard to have any sympathy for Browne after that blatant fence grab to stop the takedown, stuff like that should be an automatic point deduction instead of just a warning. And when you come out throwing kicks like that its no wonder you hurt your knee. Huge punch from Silva to for the finish too.

It was a decent event all round. Both main and co-main events were anti climatic but as usual, the prelims delivered.

Justin Edwards looks like a cross between Randy Couture and Karl Pilkington.

Can some one explain why Browne was a favourite over big foot?

The announcers going on about how any thing can happen in MMA when the fight was over?

Unbeaten I guess and bigfoot just came off a loss I suppose.

It was all part of a plot by the internet Fedor haters, its not that they were overrating Browne but they were trying to really underrate Silva and hence make Fedor's loss to Silva show just how bad Fedor was:p

I completely agree. I had Silva picked right from the time the fight was announced. I found this card to be quite enjoyable.

Thought Mike Pierce should have gotten the KO of the night.

Jake Ellenberger was close to being placed way down the pecking order.

I really dislike Jacob Volkmann. He seems to be trying his hand at being funny/controversial in a Chael Sonnen esque manner but just comes across as an ass.

Jon Dodson versus Mighty Mouse is gonna be some scrap.

    Agreed

I looked at the opposition both fighters have faced, big foot was more experienced as far as fights go, but also level of opposition. I knew he was over-priced but didn't bet as I can't confess to know much about either fighter.

    Quite annoyed I didn't, afaik he was ~ 2.80 on betfair ie. 10 returns 18 profit.
