Listening Group

    Hello.

I just recently joined the forum. Earlier this year I was apart of a group in Dublin known as the Listening Group. The idea was that every couple of weeks, a group of people would meet up and bring pieces of music with them. It was a wonderful concept; it was a great way of socialising with people and developing musical knowledge. Unfortunately the group has since disbanded, but I was thinking of setting it up once again.

I was thinking of setting it up for people who are into the more avant-garde side of music. Unfortunately none of my friends are really interested in the music I'm passionate about; so i'm looking to meet like-minded people. Hopefully this could be an idea that people on this side of the forum would be into. I could look into a venue where we could host it about once a month. I'm friends on Facebook with a couple of artists that might be interested in this; Ed Devane, Suzanne Walsh, Brian Conliffe. I might post it up on Thumped, too.
Obviously all formats would be catered for; vinyl, cassette, cd, digital.

If anyone is interested in this idea, I would love to hear from them.
