    Hi,

Long story short, I accidentally downloaded Chrome (through another application). immediatley uninstalled it but I couldnt open hyperlinks from emails on my outlook 2010. Found a microsoft fix it programme that fixed this issue but it appears to of caused another one (that hopefully has a simple fix).

Do you know the way you might have several applications (IE, Outlook, Excel) open at the one time and you have all these apps at the bottom of the screen. You can click between each one without having to press the minimise button at the top right (the minus button).

Well now when I go into outlook express I cannot switch between apps. I can still switch between Excel and Internet explorer, but once I click into Outlook it wont let me click out, I have to minimise the whole application.

There is also another issue whereby when I am in Outlook and have several emails opened at once. Normally when I click on this email, it moves from the main page to the email, but again once I am in Outlook the only way I can move away from the page is by minimising the main programme (the one where it shows inbox, calender etc) . .

Any suggestions would be most welcome as it is really annoying and I use this laptop for work!

A common annoyance when setting Google Chrome as default browser, then uninstalling it.

To fix it, create a regfile with the following and import it:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.htm]
    @="htmlfile"
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.html]
    @="htmlfile"
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.shtml]
    @="htmlfile"

Edit: scratch that since you have already fixed the hyperlink problem.
