My LG telly is Freeview ready, DVB-T....but not Freeview HD. I currently get Saorview...but what about the UK Freeview?

Or is Limerick too far away for the signals to reach?

You can only get FreeView, the UK terrestrial service if you are within range of a Welsh or NI transmitter. Limerick would be well away from them. However you can still get FreeSat or Free-To-Air (FTA) satellite with a suitable dish and box.

Too far, satellite dish and Freesat will be the best free option for the UK channels.

Very unlikely apart from a few higher spots. If you or your neighbours could get the analogue BBCs before now it might be worth investigating. However satellite would give a far more reliable signal.
