BAU is on in Munich January 2013. It is apparently meant to be one of the best in the world. Hoping to go myself.

Good stuff, that's exactly what I was looking for.

Its got to be good if 1 and a half halls are just for gates ;-)

€114 for the flight with AL, going to book it now.

be sure to book accomodation now too.

Theres an expected 238,000 visitors so lets say there'll be a wee bit of demand for hotel rooms.

    Bau in January
    Bauma in April

Both are in Munich and both are huge. I'll be going to both and booked my accomodation 3 months ago!! Hotel rates can be very expensive. Bring comfortable shoes!

    indeed!

the show in Jan. with 238,000 visitors is the small one compared to bauma which has about double that number of visitors.
Bauma is only every 3 years but is the mother of all exhibitions.
Its one of the biggest trade fairs worldwide in any field let alone in Munich (theres a few really big comics fairs and the likes in Japan but they dont count)

if you dont get your Bauma accomodation ASAP then you'll be looking to stay in Nurembourg or the likes a few hundred km away and an hour+ commute just to get to Munich main station.
