Hi, can anyone tell me a shop that will repair a broken spoke and true a mavic aksium wheel. I have been to 2 shops so far and both say they can't get the black blade type spoke that is required. North Kildare or South Dublin would suit me best.

    Thanks for any replies.

Phone a few shops. As you have found out some don't stock aksium spokes or may just be out of stock of them so you're better off phoning before hand. They're about €10-€15 a spoke, inc fitting and truing.

CycleSuperStore will definitely be able to help you anyway. I dropped a Mavic aksium rear wheel (black bladed spokes), with the same problem, into them last week and collected it last night.

Thinkbike in Rathmines usually have Aksium spokes in stock, as do Joe Daly's.

Have the same issue, was clipped on the way up to Dublin last weekend, broke a blade spoke, anywhere down West where I can get it fixed?

    Sorry for hijacking thread!
