Creating System Image and backup for separate drives - Windows 7

    Hey there,

    I've got a machine with 3 drives on it C, D and E

C is used for the OS and some small program installs 60GB used
D is used for music software programs 400GB used
E is used for design software 300GB used

When I'm installing programs, I put them into directories of the drive (i.e. if installing photoshop, i'll install in the path E:\Program Files\....)

I want to make an image and backup the software that's on my machine and wondering if I should create an image that includes all 3 drives or is that too large? Should I only create an image of the C drive or is it possible to create an image for each drive individually?

    Any recommendations, suggestions?

A simple drive image including all partitions is the most painless solution, of course it requires a 1 TB drive to store it (less if you're using compression, Symantec Ghost achieves up to ~50%).

Oh yeah forgot to mention I have 3 separate external drives 1TB each.

Ok cool so just do the windows image for all 3 drives onto the external drive. So if one of the drives fail i'll put the image for all drives back onto them once i've replaced a failed drive?
