    Hi,
Can golf club members indicate their subs for 2012 please? In Ashbourne GC we paid €1162 (includes insurance), also extra €100 bar levy. I'd be interested to know the extent of subs around the country. Thanks.

    Arklow

    €920 insurance included

Thanks George- is there any bar levy in your price? . There is a "Dublin Clubs Prices" sticky in this forum. However, I'm not sure how reliable it is as it is showing Ashbourne @1500 while the correct amount is 1162.

€620 in Bellewstown this year down from a high of €920 3 years ago. Thinking of joining Roganstown this year and wondering if they are going to reduce there 1490 price, when do clubs usually set the 2013 prices?

No, price is remaining the same for 2013 apparently. A move they could regret as most other comparable clubs around them are dropping their fees by all accounts.

It is usually around October / November when clubs set their rates for the following year. However, some are now offering deals from now to include all of 2013 - e.g. Moyvalley 1 Oct 2012 to 31 Dec 2013 for €850.

No, price is remaining the same for 2013.

That's a pity, was also contemplating joining Roganstown in 2013 since I moved house to north Dublin city this year but at €1,490 it's not forcing my hand.
Would love to join Luttrellstown Castle as course and location would be ideal but their advertised rate of €2,000 + VAT is still reminiscent of the celtic tiger era especially given that they have less than 100 members and only a handful of players in their weekend competitions.

In regards to the survey, for 2012 Tulfarris had annual subs of €1,000 plus GUI & Insurance levy of €55 plus a competition levy to the mens club of €120 to cover all competition entry fees for the year bar Captain's Prize, President's Prize and any charity fund raisers. No bar levy in 2012 and membership entailed a 10% discount in bar/restaurant.
2013 rates are generally not set until the AGM in mid Nov but can't imagine any change to the base €1,000 sub.

ashbourne is 1500 for new members for the first two years the difference from what you are paying is a joining fee over year 1 and 2, then 1162 year 3 onwards.thats for 2012 if they drop joining fee for 2013 i would be interested in joining. but would not pay a joining fee as all clubs are dropping them.

Was thinking they would come down a it, all the clubs around them are down past 1200. Think there is a 150 euro bar credit in the €1490.
Not a fan of Ashbourne, I like St Margarets and it would be an option but would perfer Roganstown.

Castlebarna, Daingean Co. Offaly annual subs €595, been the same for several years. Insurance €20 (optional). No bar credit system. No joining fee. Excellent value IMHO.

Would it be possible to make a sticky of this and divide it by Province or County for reference later in the year when all the rates and deals are known?

We already have a sticky for this.

Greebo, I was looking at sticky and cannot work out how its updated? There is no figure in for Grange GC for example. Do we send a message to a mod who then updates it?

No, I'm afraid the sticky you have seems to refer to Dublin clubs only.

There is life you know outside the "Pale".:D

The Sticky has prices for some (not all) clubs in "the Dublin area" - including some in Meath, Wicklow, Kildare. There is feedback coming in today, so we can get the table updated, there no reason why we can't have it to cover the whole country. Maybe , as suggested, set it up in provincial tables. At this time of year clubs will be releasing their deals for next year - so the current prices published in the Sticky will soon be out of date.

    Per the sticky
Let one of the Mods know when you have a new version. Please update a copy of the one below and update it in the "other" thread.

No, I'm afraid the sticky does not only refer to Dublin clubs, its about 50:50 Dublin:Not Dublin at the moment.

Seems to be a bit of a demand for inclusion of clubs outside of the "Dublin area" so why not have a provincial section on the sticky.

Well then you don't have a sticky for it, the sticky is for Dublin Area club prices, so at the very least its labelled wrong and needs changed as a poster has requested, the percentage of clubs from Dublin and its three neighbouring counties in the thread is over 90%, not 50:50.
There must be near 400 courses in the land, not just 25 in Dublin and a further 25-30 nearby

And what's with the condescending tone and the bold highlight in the replies, is it too much for a moderator to try and be helpful in replies to genuine requests from posters.

    :mad::(:eek::D
Do you hear the people sing?
Singing a song of angry men?
It is the music of a people
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
    When tomorrow comes!

    COMBEFERRE
Will you join in our crusade?
Who will be strong and stand with me?
    Beyond the barricade
Is there a world you long to see?
    Courfeyrac:
    Then join in the fight
That will give you the right to be free!

Just a joke man - nobody will get it

The best forum on boards as no messing in my view.
