is it really that difficult to get a second set of barrels for a shotgun? was told its near impossible by a gun smith.... was thinking of getting into skeet shooting so was looking for shorter barrels, (32in barrel with exterior chokes on a browning 525 supreme gold is what i currently have)

I wouldnt bother with the shorter barrels if its National Skeet you plan on shooting. The longer barrel will actually help for this (smoother and more pointable, etc.)

If you are going at Olympic sheet, then definately shorter barrell is the way to go. Try the National skeet with the gun you always use and you'll surprise yourself.

Sorry, I know it hasnr answered your question, but the friendly advise might save you alot of money in the long-run!

It is pretty difficult but not impossible. The only thing is it will nearly cost the price of another shotgun to get them.

You should give skeet a try with the gun you have now. I used to shoot National Skeet with 30" barrels and never had any problems with my swing.

All the clays are shot close so a fairly open choke would suit best. I used IC and M but meant to get two skeet chokes but money got tight with FTR.
