Time to upgrade

I'm finally in a position to upgrade my car, and thus far have narrowed it down to 2. The passat CC, or the vw scirocco, both diesel. In or around the 19k mark, so looking at 2009s. From what I've seen, when similarly spec'd, the scirocco is the more expensive, but perhaps the better looking in the flesh. I'm currently driving a 3 door 05 A3 and don't really have a need for a big car like the CC, but then again why not if it's still a great looking car, and cheaper.

Assuming specs are similar which would you choose? Any opinions on either?

Fyi, I've seen plenty of the inside of the scirocco and it looks like a nice place to be. Viewing my first CC close up this weekend so hoping for a similar experience.

Tips and hints on posting a classified on my own car are welcome too! :-)

The Scirocco uses the same dashboard as the MkV Golf with some added bespoke switchgear, it also uses the same underpinnings as the Golf and the A3 you have for that matter. Same thing with the Passat CC, uses the regular Passat's dashboard and running gear but with a few extra bits of chrome about the place and nicer styling.

I'd have the Passat CC too for the extra practicality.

Cheers guys. Yeah, CC is definitely the more practical, but at the same time, I struggle to think of the last time I needed to use the back seats in the A3, or a time when the boot wasnt big enough.

Might try do a quick private sale on the A3 when the time comes. Pretty confident ill get 6.5k on a trade in (ive been offered 6-6 and a bit by dealers who are known to be poor to deal with) and (although a bit biased) I think the A3 should sell for 7k privately.
