    Hi all
not sure if this is where i seek advice but anyway
im a qualified nurse with a Bachelor in nursing studies.

i would like to branch into the area of caring for the older person .

there are two short courses which are close to me in area both are reasonably priced and short in duration - max time over a 12 week period.

however which is better than the other if you get me ?

course number one is a Special purpose award in Gerontology from AIT
cOURSE no two is Fetac level 6 in Gerontology. offered by a training and management consultanty however the course tutor has a goof background in gerontology and nursing.

Both have similar course content and subjects offered.

Why would a person choose a fetac course over a course offered at an institute of technology?

    any advice greatly appreciated
    thanks
