    howdy anybody,
    I havent been in work for over 5 years and have got myself a job...yahooo! I want to know will I be put on emergency tax... someone whispered in my ear I would...

    Ask your employer for their revenue employer number, ring the revenue, give them your PPS number and your employers number, and a day later it will be updated to your employer.

    Et voila, no emergency tax!

    Check if you and your employer are eligible for the job assist tax credits too
