    Hi everyone
I'm on 3 under the NBS scheme paying €20.32 a month. Just noticed the usage left for the rest of the month is 37gb, usually only 25gb a month so it looks like it has been increased. Anybody seen anything it ?

UPDATED just seen in the 3 board allowance now up to 40gb from 01Oct

i signed up last month and i get 60gig for 25 euro, pretty nice.

Can i ask, ive seen horror stories of speed issues with 3, mine is working great i must say. Have no reason to complain just wondering what speeds you get?? id just be worried it starts out good and goes downhill

Normally 3-6mb during the day, but peak times in the evening drops down to 0.2-1mb. Can be frustrating so I let my kids use this 3 service , and I run off a separate O2 dongle which is much steadier between 3 - 8mb anytime of day.

I'm also on the NBS and my allowance has increased too. Annoying they didn't let us know about the increase as I wouldn't let the kids look at anything (Friends, Big Bang Theory) in the last couple of days of last bill. It looks like the increase kicked in in September. Great increase though, not really complaining.

Oh, kicked in 1st day of Oct. Really lucky as we had gone over by about 200mb. Did that once before, went over by 1/2 gig and it cost me another €20.00 or so. Didn't want to do that again!

Yeah, just noticed this myself yesterday - woohoo! :-D

Did a bit of poking around and I found this:

    http://www.dcenr.gov.ie/Communications/Communications+Development/National+Broadband+Scheme/NBS+FAQs.htm

    The relevant section is:

A further and final contractual upgrade took place in October 2012. Relevant product specifications are summarised below:

    ...

Monthly Data Cap (uncharged) 40GB - (30GB download, 10GB upload)

so it looks like the increase we're seeing now was part of the original contract for the provision of the service.

Now, if they actually had reliable speeds and met the minimum speeds that they are supposed to, this would be great news. i have never come close to my limits, not once in 4 years as the speeds are so crap i often time out trying to load youtube, never mind stream proper video

Was constantly going over the 25 gb so I got a second contract with them last year, 40 euro a month for over 80gb isn't half bad. Averaging around 5 mb all day. I think I'm one of the few people actually happy with 3.
