    Thinking of buying a 04 model 5 series in the next few weeks just wondering is there anything in particular I should look out for when viewing them (will bring a mechanic anyways)


    also ive heard various mpg figures between 30 and 40 mpg anyone with one know?

    Sorry 530 diesel I was looking at getting maybe a 525d but they're a bit more expensive I believe.

    Why not a 535d? Not too sure what the premium over the 530 is, but sure you'll be paying the highest rate of tax, and they're both 3 litre diesels, may as well get the best one you can. There will be no difference in consumption between those two I reckon.

    price would put me off the 535 theres about a 3 grand difference,obviously your getting higher spec and msport but dont have the extra 3 grand went from looking at 320d's up to a 5 series have to stop saying to meself sure its only another few quid extra have to draw the line somewhere unfortunetly.

    What kind of driving? I do 70% motorway/30% city and get low 30's mpg in 535d.

    50/50 id say,Ashbourne to the city centre and back everyday at least.
