Pigsback/Groupon Scam

Pigsback & Groupon both have "Veho Noise-Isolating Earphones" at "72%off" - "only €10, save €28".

But on Amazon they can be bought for only £7.57! :(

Where do they get €38 from? Made it up to sound like a bargain I suppose.

This is very common practice on these types of sites. Its easy to check it, people need to determine what is good value themselves, only an idiot would trust a salesman telling them its good value.

But in this case it is not too bad as you make out.

I saw them on amazon, and went to checkout
    Order Summary
    Amazon Currency Converter is Enabled.

    (Learn More)
    Items: GBP 7.95
    Postage & Packing: GBP 5.26
    Order Total: GBP 13.21

    (Payment Total: EUR 17,10**)

    Order Totals includes VAT.
So it actually costs €7.10 more to get them on amazon.

3 of them are €18 on groupon. And 3 are €22.36 on amazon.

Also you conveniently forgot to mention amazon have 48% off the quoted RRP of £14.99. That would be about €19, so they probably are spoofing about the original price. But RRP is not a legal thing or anythying. A regular shop could well have attempted to charge €10,000 for them, if it was over a certain time frame, and then they can legitimately quote massive % reductions.
