Balancing Radiators question

Our upstairs radiators weren't heating fully and we were getting no joy from bleeding them.

After reading up on it we let some more water into the system using the valve above the boiler, increased the pressure which seemed low and were then able to bleed the radiators.

There was water runoff from the safety valve above the boiler but it slowed and stopped and I presumed that was that.

However now when I turn on the heat there's a slow drip from the safety valve (I think that's what it's called anyways) and I was just wondering is there some way for me to stop this? Will it stop itself or should I just give up and call a plumber in?

    We've got a Classic SE15 FF Boiler.

It sounds like you overpressurised your system, is there any pressure guage anywhere ?? if there is it should be around 1.5 bar when the system is cold.
If its above 2.4 or so you need to release water from the system.
