Must be playing off the reds and using buckets for holes

    Grace 60 in Kingsbarns
Dubuisson -11 after 15 in St Andrews

haha Id wait to see how carnoustie treats them. The hardest of the 3 courses by some way. Fairly evident in that only 18 of 56 players under par so far at carnoustie today.

But that is a third and there is 3 courses so a third on each course. so that means everything is even.

I think you mean the avg score is worse on carnasty

I understand it's just 1 course I was just Refering to the ridiculous rounds. The scores will come down when they play Carnoustie. And players that have already played Carnoustie should come back to the field again..

It's a great tournament one of my favourite on the calendar!!

Something tells me that after the Ryder Cup coverage in our house last weekend I won't get away with watching too much of this, will leave it until Sunday and see if a couple of guys are close.
Lowry shot a 3 under, keep it going Shane!

Huge disparity in scoring yesterday. Averages at each course were as follows:

    St Andrews 69.0
    Kingsbarns 70.1
    Carnoustie 72.9

Given that the majority of the top ranked players were playing Carnoustie, this suggests the course is playing a lot tougher than the other two.

Unless, of course, there was some weird disparity in playing conditions yesterday that was partly responsible. How far apart are the courses?

Kingsbarns about 25 km from Carnoustie as the crow flies, with St Andrews halfway between

Carnoustie is about 25miles north of st Andrews then kingsbarns is about another 5-10 south of st Andrews..

Anyone see Michael Phelps' 53 yard putt on Kingsbarn on Friday? Selected by Sky Sports as shot of the day which is a bit of an understatement!
