is it possible to have two VOIP ATA's configured, so that when either ATA
makes a call, the caller id is presented as the same?

each ATA will be in a different location

    thanks

Some VOIP providers allow multiple simultaneous registrations .... or at least did so some years ago when I last checked.

Some providers allow the user to set the CLID, so that two completely different VOIP accounts can have the same CLID.

So, IMO, a lot depends on the provider/s and the set up.

Someone else hopefully will have more up to date info .....

Some providers allow you to pass through the CLI to the PSTN. Most providers don't.

Generally the CLI is setup by your provider as its a comreg regulation, you can't show a CLI that's not yours.

So if you have two different providers, I suggest you get them to set the CLI for you on each account. To have the same Display Name for internal calls, this is usually setup from your ATA and provider, which never hits the PSTN.

Its usually only wholesale providers that allow you to send through a CLI from your device.

There is no problem having the same CLI on two ATA's.
