I have to winter a couple of cattle out due to not enough room in the sheds.

What are sailor cattle like to out-winter.

they are 2 year old bullocks and will have fair bit of shelter and dry lying.

    They'll be grand

If you have younger cattle better to keep them out? - less damage to the land??

less continental cattle in them days....... good old whitehead's would last the pace.

also, a lot more shelter in the fields back then by way of gripes, double ditches, etc. all cut down now and replaced with more economical single strand electric fence.

lower stocking rates, less if not no reseeding......... no comparision in today's farming methods.
