    Well done, nice time too.

Done my first 5 k a couple of weeks ago and starting on the road to 10k.

Next step for you I guess is a half marathon or even target a full ?

    Well done, good going.
Even better that the crap weather didnt put you off.

People should realise that the hardest part of going for a run is deciding to go and do it!

Wherever you like - do longer races, try to get faster at 10ks (or shorter distances), try something slightly different like cross country or hill running... whatever you enjoy most.
But whichever you choose, you'll do better if you join a club, have other people to run with and get some coaching.

Well done, I was once in your shoes not too long ago, my advice is to run 6 days a week and simply enjoy it and you will be surprised with the improvements :D Soon the problem won't be distance but rather the time you're running it in!

Well done on the 10k time, i ran the same time myself in a 10k race a couple of weeks ago (I'm also in the 30+ age group:)). I also completed a Half Marathon this year which was tough, but if you're not into going longer then you should look at going faster. Personally, my next aim is for a top 100 finish in a 10k race, 51 mins got me into the top 120 finishers in the race I ran so I'm looking at getting down to around the 48 min mark for 10k which should hopefully scrape me into the top 100 finishers, depending on the race.

There are an abundance of 10k, 5 mile and 5k races which you should be well able for, or perhaps consider a 10mile race as your next step up to see if going longer suits you.

thats great running mate, yeah might just try to stick at around 10km and better my time, i know i wont win it with times of 30/31 mins but it would be a nice buzz to finish in top 40/50 cheers lads for all support and help and advice
