I'm wondering does anyone on here have one of these shotguns beretta Ultralight deluxe 687 and what are they like to hold, carry for long periods, and how they are under heavy loads and things. Myself and my buddy are considering of upgrading next year some time and are looking at whats out there. If anyone has any other suggestions or info that will be greatly appreciated.

had one years ago, nice light gun to carry around, would not fire too many heavy loads out of it though, or go Clay Pigeon Shooting:rolleyes:
Beautifully made. What are you using yourself.

My brother has the Beretta Ultralight, he likes it particularly how it handles and obviously the fact that it's very light. Personally I find it a bit tinny, it'll handle heavier loads but really its preferred load is a nice soft Eley Grand Prix. If you want an out and out snipe/woodcock gun its perfect(although I'd prefer a Guerini 20g) but if you want to spend much time at duck or sporting clays I'd look elsewhere.
It's worth mentionting that they seem to be a gun that are readily available at bargain prices second hand....hmmm??

I have a lanber myself and got the stock re cast to suite me last year but i want something that i can do clays the odd time too so maybe a sporter is what i should be after, i was hoping to get a browning cynergy black ice but i have heard lately there not all there cracked up to be. My mate has a rizzini and he had a beretta before that and he is sorry he changed to be honest.

Considered a 682? Might be a touch heavy for the field though.

Beautiful gun that shoots very well, handles great and is a joy to hunt with and carry.

definitely give it a miss if you are clay shooting as well as its not designed for that and is way too light for it.

If you are doing both game and clays, you will need to find a different gun to comfortably do both.

I dunno if anyone else has tried one but a 20 bore Guerini has to be the nicest handling gun Ive ever held also its a beauty to look at. Ultralight Beretta is nowwhere near it in terms of style or aesthetics. If your considering giving that sort of money for that kinda gun I'd advise a trip to your man in Tipp that sells them..ul soon forget about Ultralight.

the beretta ultralight is a game gun , a lot lighter than a sporter , i had a 686s a beautiful gun but i traded it in and got the ultralight delux , this gun is perfect for grouse and walked up shooting

Have to say guerini in 26 inch barrel 12g is a much nicer gun , light swingable , . Def wouldn be shooting heavy loads with the ultralight on a regular basis

i got the 686 white onyx there myself about 1 1/2 ago, i think it's the muts nuts, used it for everything, clays, snipe, pheasant, pigeon/crows and ducks, i have two other guns i had been using a 30 year old valmet u/o twin trigger, and a baikal s/s twin trigger that i rarely used and with the new beretta my shooting improved immensely, quality all round gun
