    Hi guys,

Best man at a wedding end of October and haven't sorted out a present. Does anyone know of anywhere I could get a decent wooden present in Dublin? A wood turners shop or something would be ideal? The couple are big into wooden ornaments and stuff, they are not really money people they would much prefer a present and I have never really bought a present before. Any other ideas would be appreciated as well. Something unique.

Try Cow's Lane Designer centre in Temple Bar, there might be something there?

Was in there recently and saw some nicely turned bowls which might be worth a look for you.

I found this Designyard place as well, might try them both over the weekend. http://www.designyardgallery.com/Sculpture-500--1000(1614965).htm

Anywhere ever in there? These are not the sort of shops I usually go into.

Went into this shop in Kenamre and it was fabulous. They dont seem to have an online shop, but if you saw something on the site I'm sure they would deliver it for you if you dropped them an email.

there's always the kilkenny shop. They feature great irish designers and artists. I think you can get beautiful clocks set into bits of wood which sound up your couple's street....

sorry it's rather famous so i just presumed! it's on Nassau street in Dublin. You'll see large wine flags with the Kilkenny name in white hanging outside the shop. There's a cafe upstairs too if you're peckish, it's rather lovely.
