glomar, sorry, but Siberia is not the place for holidays or study in winter.
Why not to choose South:Rostov,Krasnodar or Sochi?
Climate is similar to Ireland.Would you please change your mind :-)

    It depends..

Anyway, the place is too far from civilization :-)

I'd prefer the South.People there warmer too ;-)

Is there a job market in Ireland/UK for native English speakers with a knowledge of Russian?

I assume that Russians (the ones in Ireland/UK) would tend to speak more English than I will ever speak Russian, is there any particular reason an employer might hire the native English speaker?

Thank you for the advice :)

I'm already an English teacher, currently working in Georgia. I occasionally speak to the locals in Russian (though my knowledge of Georgian is far greater) and I enjoy the language a lot. I'd like to study it seriously (at Moscow State University, for a year or more), but I have doubts over how much it would help me in the job market.

Georgia is nice country, but I suppose Russia is full of wealthy parents eager to teach their children to speak fluently in English etc

Anyway it is easy to find some websites like the following http://britishstaff.ru/personal/prepodavatel/
