    Hi,
I am sick of going through earphones.
I use in ear phones, don't really buy expensive ones but have tried a few different brands.

Same thing with all of them.
Either they go at the jack end or the ear end, I end up with 1 ear working and then none..
Today only one of my ears is not working and these were a pair from my missus phone which had a flat cable which I thought would have been stronger.

    Any recommendations reasonably priced?
    Cheers.
    Sham.

I've had a pair of Shure se110 for ages now that I use to fall asleep in. Bar the plastic coming off the earpieces, they're pretty much invincible. They have a 2 part breakaway cable so there is less chance for you to irreparably damage them, if you break the lower cable jack it's easily replaced. I think they're discontinued now so you might have to search hard to find them or look for the newer models.

Since you're breaking your recent earphones so much it might be that you're not careful enough with them. It sounds like you're unintentionally damaging or putting pressure on the jack, you'll often lose sound in one ear from this. Never wrap your earphones around your phone or ipod when not in use, take them out when not in use and use a pouch or carry case. Avoid using front trouser pockets to hold your mp3 player as you put pressure on the jack and mp3 player especially when sitting down.

I suppose I don't really look after them as well as I could.
I have my phone in my front pocket, always have.
I don't wrap them up , just unplug them and lay them losely in a press.
I sit on the bus and get off once a day and thats it.
I wouldnt say I abuse them but use them in normal circumstamces.
You'd think they could handle a bit more abuse..
I will check out the shure ones.
I have a pair already but didnt like the sound from them
    It was quite tinny.
Thanks for the reply and advice.
