Public Sector Entitlements

Me and my OH are having a financial check-up at the moment and reviewing mortgage protection, life assurance, long term illness protection and pension etc. I work in the private sector and the OH has a permanent position in the HSE. I have searched in vain to find a website (gov agency/Citiz Informat etc) that can give me a comprehensive breakdown of what entitlements I/we are entitled to in the event of mine/her untimely death or serious injury but I cannot find anything.

I do not want to take out new protection policies to find that there may be duplication. I am aware we can talk to the payroll department, however I would like to have read it first.

Anyone else in the same situation, whay did you do ?

    Thanks
