    Hi all,
i bought a 32gb sandisk micro sd class 4 for my samsung galaxy y pro in august. all was fine until last night. previously i had copied music to the card no problem using the phone cable instead of removing the card from the phone. last night i tried to copy videos to the card. They copied across fine, but when i browsed for them they were nowhere to be seen. I tired again but still the same thing happened. so then i thought maybe the phone is refusing the new stuff so i tried taking the card out and using a multireader. the same result. then i thought maybe it was a write protected issue but windows always gave me the option to delete files, so i tried deleting a file, removed the card then put it back in. the file reappeared! Then i tried to format the card but windows says it is unable to format it. both on quick and full through device management as admin.i also cant delete the partition. i believe the problem to be a write protected one but i have tried everything, even putting the card in an sd adapter flicking the switch to lock putting it in the computer, removing it then unlocking, but still it did not work. also tried formatting it using digital camera, didnt work either. phone reads from the card fine every time.

Any ideas people? is android to blame?

Possibly to the 32GB card being SDHC rather than SD. An older card reader may not be compatible with SDHC. I had to buy a new card reader recently when I bought high capacity cards. I was seeing odd stuff like you were seeing...the card kinda seemed to work some of the time but it never actually copied the files successfully. Not sure why the phone is having a problem with the card though.

Thanks for replying but my card reader has sdhc support.

Did you buy it on ebay by any chance? If so then perhaps it's a fake and full to its actual physical capacity, which may well be less than your expected 32gb.

I have 2 different 32gb sd cards (one Sandisk) and never had a problem. Both bought from Amazon.

Did you buy this from Amazon for about 13 sterling in August? I have the same card in my S3 at the moment and it seems to be going a bit mental. My phone is constantly saying it's removed and then that's its being scanned. Very annoying. Probably going to return it. It was fine in the beginning

Hmm. I'd put it into a pc and scan for errors. They can happen from time to time, especially if your phone is shutdown without being able to unmount the card eg battery pull.
