I have a gripe about the IT helpdesk

    I started a part time evening course last week and cant understand the college mentality of only having the It help desk open for 3 half hour sessions during the day.

    What do evening students who are working during the day do if we have a problem?

    Having come from the NCI where the helpdesk was manned all day up till 8pm by IT students I find this policy incomprehensible.:mad:

    Whats the problem you had that needed IT help? Most can be solved by the SID.

    I've only ever used the computer desk once to reset password, but the SID can do that now too.

    As a past student they were not much help during the day :)
