I wouldn't bank on Malaga for a beach holiday in Feb. Weather can be quite chilly there that time of year. Canaries are the safest cheap option. You could also look at Egypt for almost guaranteed sunshine in the likes of Sharm el Sheik. Don't now if there many packages to the canaries for much less than €500 barring last minute deals. The Canaries are a long way away and aviation fuel has gotten alot more expensive in the last few years.

Rubbish, Just last May got Ryanair from Knock to Tenerife Return 2 Adults 1 Infant for €162 total including all charges , Then got a 3 Start All Inclusive Hotel for €240 for the week , Total Cost for 3 people €400 give or take

Thats great. I'm sure the OP is delighted you got a cheap holiday last May from Knock but it doesn't really help them.

It appears that Ryanair don't fly out of Knock in Feb. Cheapest headline fare from DUB to TFS in Feb appears to about €200 before €12 credit card charge and €40 for 1 bag. Thats roughly €500 for a couple. Add in transfers to and from the airport. Then add in accomodation.

Actually now that you mention it it was stunning good value from Ryanair to fly three people from Ireland to the Canaries for €162. Did this include all charges? Did they throw in a bag each as well? Presumably travelling with an infant you would have needed to bring a bag or two? Did they also drop you to your hotel and pick you up?

Now which part of my post was rubbish?

Lanzarote from Cork for 153 PP

That might be the fare showing on the website but would not include admin charges and €40 per checked in bag. I would suggest most people going on hols to the canaries would be bringing at least one bag. Also transfer costs from airport to accommodation must be factored in. A couple would do very well to get to their accommodation and back for less that €450. And that's before accommodation costs.

Yes the Ryanair flight included all the charges and we managed with 2 carry on so no additional charges , The Taxi to the Hotel was €10

    BTW Both Posts were rubbish

Grand so. I was wrong and you were right. I'm sure you will have no problem in pointing the OP in the direction of €100 return flights to the Canaries in Feb. Accomodation and transfers will probably be less than that also:rolleyes:
