    hi
I have a philips TV, its a 32" flatscreen, about two years old. (i dont have the model of it but i can get it later on)

    anyhow,
I have a small webcam with a usb connector. there is a usb connector on the TV, so i plugged it in last night, hoping for the best.

well hey, nothing happened! I went into the source menu and tried all available ports - no picture.
I went into the home menu and tried to add a device - no luck either!

I intent to get a broadband wireless router in the house before xmas, so what i'm ultimately hoping to achieve is that i can leave the tv on, and using the ip address, watch the webcam on my phone? it will be pointing at the front of the house.
I would prefer it to work on the tv rather than the laptop, as the laptop would not have to be left in the room all the time.

is this possible, or am I at a thing called nothing?!

Not possible with the specifics mentioned.
