Recommend me a set top box

Hey guys,

Looking into a new set top box and just wanted to see what is recommended, if possible I would like one that does the following,

Receive both saorview and freeview on the same box

Able to record

Able to record one channel while watching another, if this is possible would i have to run another coaxial from the aerial or can it be split.

Its a pity the roll out of saorview has been handled so badly as it has led to so much confusion I am now getting baffled. What you should do is wait as long as possible as more and more boxes will becoming on the market. But I would say your best bet would be a ferguson 150 and get it from satellite ie. Why, because he tells it as it is and he loads channel lists and the latest software and its a good price.

Freeview (terrestrial),living in north east hoping to pick kilkeel when it's switches over, just want to see my options for a set top box

A Saorview box will work for you, except that you will not get the four UK HD channels. A FreeviewHD box will get all of the UK channels including the HD channels, but might have some problems, like channel numbering and summertime, plus a few that we have not discovered yet.
