60" Full HD TV - options.

    Posting on behalf of a pal.

    He's looking to buy one of the above. For TV use only. No gaming. It's for a big room with decent levels of natural light.

    It's €1200 in Currys.

    Is this any good? Anything better out there for similar money?

    Sharp TVs are generally good. LG do 60in also, as do Samsung (some models with Freesat tuner on board). Panasonic do 65in, again with Freesat tuner. If the room is very bright he would be better off going for LED vs plasma. If I was buying a 60in I would do a serious amount of research and haggling before buying ( but then again I have the time:D).
