Hey folks, me and about 4 or 5 friends want to rent a villa in Lanzorote for a week or ten days at the end of November.

I'm looking for ANY advice you guys might be able to offer as we've never done this before... Anyone know of any good estate or travel agents to deal with? Any pitfalls? Anywhere/anyone we should avoid? Good websites? Any help is greatly appreciated! :)

    Tigger,

I would consider booking your villa & flights separately.

Take a look at http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk or http://www.holidaylettings.co.uk as there are plenty of villas to rent on there.

Just looked at Ryanair and you can do a return flight for Eur 113 at the end of November (excluding extras of course!)

    JT.

If you're going DIY and don't plan on getting a car, it is worth looking close to the airport (ie Puerto del Carmen or Costa Teguise area) and as close to the nightlife as you can. You could get yourselves a lovely villa out in the sticks and end up stir crazy.

You will also need to shop, so make sure there is a decent supermarket near by. Most owners will provide a welcome pack, but this usually not much more than a loaf of bread, a carton of milk and a few cans of san miguel.
