There's a company on Facebook called Cork weddings and balloons that hire one for €150 minus sweets etc...

would you DIY it? we did our own candy stand and it went down a treat! bought all the jars in Ikea and just decorated with ribbon, bought the sweets in cash n carry...have quite a bit left over but himself sweet addict so he has plenty in stock now to put a smile on his dentists face!
I bought candy bags (Pink stripey ones) but they arrived day after wedding  so have these to sell - 200 of them!

You can hire out a sweet or ice cream cart at occasioncarts.com or alternitively just hire the cart, they are based in kildare.

You don't really need to be a cart tbh. Just do up a table that the hotel provides.

And if you ask nicely the hotel might set it up for you before hand.

I brought in a small white sheet, some bunting, a cfew small lovehearts that I had in the house, a mixture of old jars full of sweets and sorted.

We actually ran out of sweets so it obviously was well received.

And as a side note, I went into TESCO and filled up those carton cups a few times full of sweets and bought a tin of quality street and ALL of the sweets were eaten so dont spend mad money

In the states they call them a candy bar rather than a candy cart. I've seen people over here call them a sweet shop. A table with cloth works perfect.

So I really think there is no need to get caught up in the "cart".
