Guys quick one here....have received advice that I should plaster behind the drylining board on external walls...a thin coat applied to boost airtightness. I am hoping to achieve a q50 of less than 1.5 so what do ye think, excessive or worthwhile?

absolute necessity if you want to reach those figures. Do you realise how porous a concrete block is?

its very questionable why you are going with insulated boards in the first place, but that ship has sailed.

Id aim for a 8-10 mm coating of sand and cement render.

Ya i thought as much....plasterers telling me that the skim coat on top of the plaster boards would do the job but I questioned that and was looking for confirmation here. As for use of insulated board- I am pumping a 150mm cavity (already done) and placing a 50 mm board on the inside as well. Looked at going for 200 or 250 mm cavity but decided against it. thanks for reply syd
