Obviously he's an Irish lad etc, but can anyone else not stand him?

It was Prob for the best he didn't go, the great brown shark just doesn't have the same ring to it. :P

Does anyone else think that sometimes he looks whiter than others? It's like Twilight or something.

I love Sheamo and he does his country proud, but bland white-meat babyface doesn't do it for me. Plus he got pushed super-fast, 3 world titles now, so as a wrestling fan it's hard to get behind him, when his promos and wrestling skills are still mid-card. I'm really happy he's doing well, but as a wrestling fan I don't care to see him on the show.

His mic skills are so average too. He's supposed to be a face but comes across as an arrogant (even for a wrestler) twat that has me rooting for the heel. The best comparison I have for him is that smug bearded caroler on the Meteor Christmas ad a few years ago - some other carolers moved in on his patch and and he called a massive crowd of people to get back at them. At the end of the ad you felt for the baddie!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XlyLyhbDow

Plus it's dull the way he never loses. When is the last time he actually lost ffs... think Mark Henry beat him via count-out last year?

    I like sheamo.
I just dont like wwe's perceived idea of a 'lovable irish rogue".

Although, I'm sure he's loving it and getting bagfuls of cash for it so it wont end anytime soon.

Totally agreed, I don't find him "loveable" at all. I was actually rooting for ADR at NoC. :)

I should have said. This isnt a "they are ruining the look of the irish to the americans! I feel appalled!" thing. More of he seems to be a miss match of all the past foreign good guy tweeners.

He has the asshóle-ness of eddie, the goofy speak of santino, the non selling of kozlov and it just doesnt seem to mix well.
Looking at it, it does seem similar to Cena's traits sometimes.

Only potential rival he has now is Wade Barrett, stick Barrett with William Regal and have Sheamus go back and forth with him for the next few months,it would get my interest over a Sheamus vs Big Slow crapfest.

Other than that we have what I first forecast many months ago, Little and Large leprechaun tag team, Sheamus and Horneswaggle.:P

He's very good in the ring,it's actually amazing how much he's improved since his IWW days.

His promo delivery isn't great, and his stereotypical Irish character is the shíts.It's odd though,if he could just be like the lad who seem's so relaxed and likeable anytime he does a chat show or media appearance I reckon he'd be much more successful, instead of banging on about his uncle's arse or going for pints etc.

FYP. He wouldn't go brown, only pink.

I remember when he was first going over his goal was to change America's perception of the Irish. He didn't want to play up to any dated stereotype but yet over time that's where his character has ended up going. Not his fault obviously as WWE always tend to do that with foreigners.

I don't know how true the stories are about Triple H liking him but somebody high up the ladder must, for instance when was the last time he lost clean? I remember Henry beat him by countout at last years Summerslam but could you call that clean??

We must get a campaign going in Cabra to have the statue of the Virgin Mary at the roundabout replaced with one of the great white.

I reckon the Orish crap the writers make him spout has a good deal to do with his less than stellar mic skills.

Do people know around the area about how successful he's become? He seems to get little to no mention in the Irish media, PW unfortunately gets treated like a joke in this country.

He's gotten mentioned a couple of times but I think it's only been when he won the title. The majority of people here wouldnt care who he retained against so other than the initial win, we probably wont be seeing much mention of him.

He's good in the ring and he's a bit a' craic on the mic, doesn't take it too seriously and I don't see any issues with his promo deliveries. He says a bit of Irish slang that only Irish people would have heard of so I guess he writes parts of his own promos which is refreshing. Most of the Irish slang he uses are real, at least he's not saying fake **** like "Top of the morning to ya" or something like that.

He needs some good storylines with some memorable feuds to make people care and get behind him but that won't happen as long as he's on Smackdown. As someone said, he's too dominant right now.

That's the question really, who is there to feud with? There was a rumour that they want to save a match with Barrett for Wrestlemania.

    awful showing tonight. "honest"

After last night all plans with the Big Slow should be canned. Sheamus can't talk and Show can't wrestle, its a match made in hell.

What about giving Sandow a shot? If Ryback is getting his push so soon then why not. I thought they put on the best match of the night last night and there could be an interesting storyline in the making with their contrasting gimmicks, The Intellectual Saviour vs Brogue Kick Hooligan.

I'd be confident enough that Show and Sheamo will put together acceptable matches.

Sheamus really needs to get his promos sorted out quickly though, his showing in the debate last night was painful to watch.Paul Heyman's back in WWE now,no better man to coach Sheamo on promos than him.

Is there not something against posting spoilers in other threads here guys? I'm just watching Raw at the moment and I have read some of what I haven't seen already in this thread. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing Sheamus take on the Big Show, dunno why.

Sorry about that, I should have stuck that last post in the Raw thread.

After the boring ADR feud a match with the Gobbledy Gooker would be more interesting :)

Hmm, well, Sheamus vs. Hector Guerrero, out of the Gobbledy-Gooker costume might be alright. ;)

For the love of God, Dolph, cash in. I'm sick of him.

Show winning and Dolph winning in less than 45 secs would be good either. :)
