Hi all, Im doing the MBS in WIT and have just started the Seminar Series, we have been given two papers to hand up in Jan 2012. the first one is a reflective piece consisting of 1000 words and the other a 2000 word piece on a 'holistic perspetive'.

I'm struggling to begin how to write these papers and can't make out the difference between them both.

Has anyone done this masters module before?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I have a 1 page draft to hand up soon. Thanks

I did the MBS a few years back.

The Seminar Series are some pile of ****e, as is reflective learning.

The reflective piece is on how you feel about the Masters and the what you think you have got from each seminar. If you want to PM me your email, I can forward on mine (if I find it) and you can have a read through it - I'm sure you'll have different seminars than we did but you'll get the jist of it.

The other assignment you mentioned we didn't do. We had a group assignment on something or other. I remember we did it on something political as one of the group members thought it would appeal to Gerry. It didn't. It was the lowest mark I got in any subject in the Masters, getting around 50 or 55% in it.

Brussels/Leuven is some craic next semester though. You'll be poisoned from drink.

I done the MBS series last year and it's very difficult to differentiate between the two. My best advise would be talk to Shelia or Felicity about it further. What happened us last year we done the first and received very poor marks with little feedback. The lowest was 52% but the highest was 65% from the first paper, which overall affected everyone for there averages.

I'll take another look at what I wrote for the two papers in the modules when I get access to my desktop and hopefully post a better reply to your question. But I did find they overlapped alot, i can e-mail mine also to take a look if you want.

And I agree totally with Looder about Leuven in March. I done my Erasmus over there, and we went back this year for the 3/4 days. Its a tough little few days with seminars but there bull****, its 3 days of hangovers, cheap beer, and great craic. Just remember to go to Direktor & The 7 Oaks.

Hey! I'm doing the MBS this year too and seminar series is so tough! I honestly havent a notion what to write and how to link everything. Also I don't understand the difference in paper one and two either. Very confusing!! To be honest I say it will drag down my average!:(
