Help! Nursery furniture disaster

Hi, I have made a massive mistake in the purchase of my nursery furniture. I should have in retrospect bought white / ivory however I purchased walnut (looks more like a dark oak) instead (cotbed and changing unit). I purchased them before we had even thought about putting the nursery together. Now that we are decorating the nursery I have noticed that the cotbed and changer unit does not match the white wardrobes or curtains that I have. I thought the curtains (white and cranberry / raspberry) would look good, and they do, but I know that a white cotbed and dresser would be perfect. I can paint the dresser but I'm terrified of painting the cotbed and ruining it.
I've just bought the curtains and I love them.

    To sum up:
    White wardrobes
White and raspberry - white background with small raspberry flowers
Walnut / Dark Oak cotbed and dress
Distressed white chair with white and cranberry seat

Has anyone any ideas? I don't know what I was thinking when I bought them.

    Thanks very much.

Nope, they're 8 months old. I'm only moving her in to her nursery now and it's just come to my attention how bad an idea my colour scheme was:(

    Tips for painting:
    1. Buy zinzeer primer for 1st coat, (small tin 750ml or 1l will do) ask in paintshop which of their brands is most suitable, I think its the red or yellow tin. Buy a short handle brush usually about €7
    2. Pick a nice off white or ivory colour to match rest of room. If you want to use a waterbased (quickdrying & low odour) paint get a nice farrow and ball, for oilbased dulux have a good range. (21/2 l to be safe)
    3. Cover the floor with a sheet and paint away.
    4. After 2 or 3 coats give it a light sand but heavy where needed to remove any runs
    5. For final coat thin out the paint.
    6. You'll be fine and it'll look great when finished
    7. Total cost roughly €80, total time roughly 1-2hrs per coat x 4-5
