Letter from the Social Welfare

I received a letter from the Social Welfare this morning telling me to be at my local office next week with 6 months worth of bank statements and details of my partners income or payments and details of any work that I might have done. They also stated that if I didn't show that my claim would be cancelled.

My partner lost her job last Christmas and I've been on SW for nearly 3 years myself as I used to work in the construction sector but I'm currently retraining in IT and have done several Fas courses over the last couple of years.

My question is are these letters random in nature or have I been hand-picked with a view to have my payments cut?

My wife is on JSA and got the same letter. It states that they need her to provide my bank statements as I am currently in full time employment.

My question is could we just print off 6 months worth of statements from our Bank of Ireland 365 account or do they need official bank statements that need to be posted out to us?

I had to send in bank statements last week and sent printouts they were accepted no problem.

    Ah that's grand so.

I exported our bank statements to Excel via the icon on the site but it doesn't look very official. I was thinking of doing a screen grab of each month since April and printing them all off.

    Does that sound okay?

    Screengrabs should be fine.
