As hunters we all appreciate nature so this may interest someone. I have a road kill Pine Martin that would suit been set up, its in good condition. I don’t want anything for it (hence not in the for sale section). BUT the conditions are its to be collected from Cavan and be prepared that if you can find someone to set it up the cost will be around €200. I already have one and would recommend the guy that did it.

    PM me if interested

I have heard that taxidermists won't take anything like that until they are brought to a vet and confirmed that they were road kill/died of natural causes.

I dont think they legally can take them with out inspection from a vet confirming its road kill and not gun shot.

I'm not too up to speed on taxidermy but I believe (and could easily be wrong) they have to declare them to local NPWS ranger too. If they're inspected and found to have unreported, dead protected wildlife in their possession I imagine it would not go down well.

Here’s how it worked for me.
The Taxidermist will take your details on a NPWS form, stating how it was killed. You sign to confirm it was a road kill. Form submitted to NPWS, if they’re interested/suspicious they’ll inspect it, otherwise the ok is given to set up the animal.

In this case the PM is road kill

I have had a response to rehome the Pine Martin, so its off the market.
