    Thanks for reading

My clocks in my Zafira are gone, so i need them replaced.

1st question my mileage is 112 k, i can get 2nd hand one but mileage is 50k.How can i update the new clock to the correct mileage of the car.

2nd I assume its a fairly straight forward job to change it myself.Would changing it affect my immobiliser.

    Cars a 02 Vauxhall Zafira

    thanks again

Do a search on donedeal or buy and sell for milage correction, I'd say you will be the first they have ever increased:D

Unless you know what you are doing, its hard to do yourself without it being obvious the clocks have been tampered with;)

Imagine that conversation when you sell,

    Buyer: "is that milage right??"

You :"yeah actually I added to the milage when I changed the clocks"

    Buyer "yeah right"

You need to change the instrument cluster?

    1. You can get someone to reset it to 112K, google "mileage correction".
    2. Not sure, haven't done it on a Zafira. Usually not a tricky job.

As above, get someone to correct it for you. Unless you want to dismantle the clocks yourself and assemble a hybrid of the 2, with the correct mileage :)

No. Make sure the clocks are like for like and there should be no problems

Take a before and after photo, the next owner might see it as a bonus.
Anyway it will show on the NCT certs

Would i be question at next NCT as to why mileage is lower?

No questions asked, the tester might bring it to your attention, they will just record the mileage on the cert.

Of all the cars Ive ever nct'd, only one has had the milage recorded correctly, dont accept this as proof, or indded as evidence of foul play;)
