Soft vinyl splint

Had a thread here about 3 weeks ago about my jaw being restricted and not opening as far as it should.

The short of it is I eventually ended up at the dental hospital and was given exercises to do and told to get a soft vinyl splint for my lower teeth done up by my own dentist.
Was rightly shocked when I was quoted €250. Is this really the normal going rate for one of these things?

I checked on line but couldn't really get an answer.

250 Euros seems a bit on the high side to me if it is a straightforward soft splint.

Mine was €120....are there different types tho??? Mine's just like a moulded mouth guard which fits over my bottom teeth. That's a big difference tho if they're the same thing.

    Thanks all.
I called up to double check that that was the price they had given me and it was, so I cancelled.

Found another dentist that is nearer by and doing it for €150. I'm sure now if I took the time to look around I would find it cheaper again but I can't really afford to wait.

Been a month to the day now that this happened and the dentist in the dental hospital told me I need to get this ASAP.

Keep waking up in the middle of the night panicking that it will never go to normal and I'm sure that stressing out about it will only make it worse.
