    Hi
De brother saw one of these today a 2001 with 85000 odd miles (a 1.8 I think he said)and he likes the look of it. Is arranging to look at it with a mechanic tomorrow or Tuesday but was wondering if there is anything to look out for especially. I'm not familiar with the model but he says it has electric seats and all sorts and is a bit worried if they are reliable with all these bells and whistles.

Anyone here with any knowledge or experience of these ?

Probably very hard to sell on, they are ugly as sin to be honest.

I think they're still a good looking car.

I drove a 2.0 Turbo one before, it's very Astra'y. If you like that dated Opel style and get it cheap enough, I can see it being much of a bother.

Think they're a handsome yoke. Had the pleasure of having one from work for a week.

In the right colour they can look great.

Had one for a couple of years.
It was a 2001 SE Spec and was 2 years old when I bought it
In the right color with 17's and a boot spoiler they are a good looking car.
Liked it but had some very expensive repairs.

    CAT snapped @ 2.5 years
ABS sensors replaced @ 3 years
    ECU replace at 3.5 years

Put me off opels for life.

Just found a pic of my old one, may not be everyone's cuppa but hardly ugly?

I know the 2.2 engine burns oil like a bitch so maybe the 1.8 will too.. Like all cars things start going wrong around the 70,000 mark.. First find out when the timing chain/belt was changed.. Don't buy it if it hasn't as that will need to be replaced.. See what the mechanic says.

I really like the look of them in gold..
How much is the car selling for ?
