So i went down to buy an Iphone 5 today after having all the other ones, and saw the guy in the shop messing on the S3 and said sure why the hell not.

Brilliant phone i must say, I have to agree its 10 times the phone compared to the Iphone.

Anyhoo i have one quick question.

Is there a way i can see which apps have updates available, like on the iphone they have an updates section.

Or do i have to go in through the play store and update one by one?

    Cheers

The play store will tell you when updates are out on the notification bar where you emails and other notifications pop up. You can then select update all or pick the ones you want.

You can also open the Play store, press the menue button and select all apps, it will list what is up to date and what's not.

once synced with you google account, all apps installed are viewable on a pc when logged in to your account too. etc etc. they can be sent to installed from there too to your device. beast of a phone.

as poster said, when u install an app, choose automatic updating, the app will look after itself

    android all the way ;)

Upgrade due next month from my trusty aul Desire, seriously tempted by the S3 but the size is off putting. The Desire is perfect size imo

S3 is way too big for me too, just felt uncomfortable holding it for the week i had mine. The Desire is a nice size though, is it as good as the S3 though?

Not a mission, I have the original Desire though, don't know about the newer versions. Thinking about going sim only myself and keeping my Desire as I have it rooted to make up for its lack of internal memory, it does all I need it to do :)

It takes a couple of days to get used to the size but after that you don't notice it

    (that's what she said)

My biggest problem was when it was in my jeans pocket etc, i really had to be carefull while sitting down because of the flex in the phone. My mate sat down in his, only a week old and got up and took it out and the screen was smashed because of the way the phone flexed.

I dont have that problem with my nokia 6300 :)
