I have a copy of Windows 7 on DVD that I want to install onto a system without a DVD drive. Is it possible to create a bootable USB with a DVD ? Id prefer not having to buy an external DVD drive to install it

Yes it is. You can download / burn a windows 7 ISO. and then create a bootable USB.

You will need software to create the iso file from your DVD
